What is organizational ethnography?

635 vues

Ethnography comes from the combination of two words: ethnos, meaning cultural group in Greek, and graph, meaning writing. John van Maanen has described ethnography as « field narratives ». Ethnography in general is devoted to the description of human ways of life. Organizational ethnography is a socio-scientific description of a group of people interacting together over a period of time within organizations, whether formal or informal.
