Andreas Kaplan (Advisory Committee – European Management Journal) characterizes Europe as « maximum cultural diversity at minimum geographical distances » and defines European management as a « societal and intercultural management approach based on interdisciplinary principles ». European management therefore requires cultural intelligence, social sensitivity and the ability to adapt to contextual diversity.
With regard to the European Management Journal (EMJ), Professor Andreas Kaplan points out that the reference to « Europe » in the title of the journal should not be understood as a limitation but rather as a worldview on global phenomena qualified in a European context and environment.
