Professor Christian Linder and his co-authors have investigated the question of sufficient (or insufficient) starting conditions for a survival path, which is essential in entrepreneurship. Their results, published in Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, show that the combination of managerial experience and social support is linked to survival, whereas over-reliance on financial capital is not.
