Drawing on Foucauldian techniques of the self, this study explores how individuals re-envision wellness practices outside traditional organizational contexts during extreme events. Based on a thematic analysis of 7,234 comments posted on the YouTube channel Yoga with Adriene in 2020, this study unveils a technology-mediated self-care practice, which we conceptualize as somametamnemata. Our findings illustrate three aspects of somametamnemata related to yoga, a form of bodywork: caring for oneself by practicing yoga online; caring for oneself and others by sharing yoga in written comments; and caring for oneself and others by responding to shared verbalizations of yoga. By locating the potential of individual well-being within malaise, we move "corporate well-being" beyond organizational boundaries.
