In the Industrial and Labor Relations Review article she recently co-authored with Hans TW Frankort, which was downloaded about 3,500 times and quoted by media around the world, Argyro Avgoustaki examines the effect of increased work effort and shows that it is strongly linked to a reduction in well-being and modestly to lower career outcomes, discretion being able to mitigate these negative effects.
