Technological determinism in Information Systems Management is a perspective that emerged in the 1970s, which posits that a technology corresponds to a specific organizational structure; that is, that technology directly and definitively influences the structure. This perspective is now nuanced: technology is not neutral and has effects on the organization, but it cannot, on its own, lead to a given organizational structure.
