What is equilibration?

“Equilibration” is a concept borrowed from cognitive sciences and the work of Jean Piaget, and introduced into economics and management sciences by François Perroux in 1973 in his book Pouvoir et économie.

This concept has regained its relevance and strength at a time when human potential management must align with CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), meaning a continuous effort to balance social, economic, and environmental objectives.

In management sciences, equilibration is thus defined as the ongoing search for a satisfactory balance between social (human), economic, and environmental constraints.
