Professor Christian Linder and his co-authors examined the question of sufficient (or insufficient) starting conditions enabling a pathway to survival, which is critical in entrepreneurship. Their results published in Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice show that combinations of one’s managerial experience and social support are related to survival, while over-reliance on financial capital is not.
