This research examines the relationship between sustainable personal behaviours (PSB) of SME owners and sustainable business practices (PS). It focuses on assessing the moderating effects on this relationship (1) the perceived economic benefits of sustainable practices and (2) environmental hostility. The analysis of the data collected on an intersectoral sample of French SMEs, using hierarchical multiple linear regressions, reveals a positive influence of CPD on the PDE, which seems to moderate differently depending on the type of practices considered (environmental, social and societal). These results contribute to a better understanding of the critical sustainability history in small businesses.
