It is prominent in individuals with outstanding skills, and also very common in women. It may arise for a variety of reasons, two factors of them stand as very relevant of why it happens: family dynamics and pressure to perform at work. Imposter syndrome may carry important consequences not only for the person who suffers from imposterism, but also for those who surround them.
